I'm a nurse and worked a night shift. That night there was heavy snowfall and after 3 hours of travelling I pulled over at Newbury Travel Lodge at 9am to ask for a room. I was physically and emotionally exhausted and the roads home were all blocked. I was told there would be a room but check in is not until after midday so I was turned away.
