Came tonight to celebrate our daughter's engagement to my future son in law with his family. We have been twice before and it has been so good. Tonight though not too good. On arrival I asked a waitress if I could put a balloon and some confetti on the table to which she replied yes of course. Whilst spreading the confetti around the table a man I think he was a head waiter (not sure) shouted '"no no", we do not allow this and asked me to take it off. I said I was told it was ok to use. He said "she is new" well it's not the poor girl's fault, she should have been told during training re this. So, not a good start. We ordered some drinks at the bar whilst waiting for the rest of our party and the lady that served us was so rude too and obviously not happy in her work. A nice smile to welcome customers would be a good idea. When we sat down we all had to pick up every bit of confetti. 🙄 There was a few things not available on the menu including daulphinous potatoes, then no roast potatoes, just chips or French fries. No lamb, no pie, no mixed grill. The staff are not very attentive at all and not very experienced for the kind of establishment they represent. The food when it came was great but unfortunately the staff let the place down. They just don't seem like they enjoy their work at all. They could not wait for us to leave you could tell they wanted to go home. As soon as we were in the car park the staff followed us out. Just not a good look. Very dissapointed with this visit tonight especially as we had raved about it before. Felt let down whilst bringing new family guests with us for the first time. Such a shame. You need to change your attitude towards customers and do more training on being more friendly and attentive. It goes a long way. 😏👎
