I've been a tutor with an active profile on this website since 2016. The work you'll get here is mostly part-time or a hobby, unless you teach core subjects for higher levels which are paid well and have a high demand.
I've been quite lucky to get enough hours and very good clients to build up a stable schedule and focus on this only for most time.
Having many positive reviews is the most important aspect of the online profile. While there is a commission the website takes from your price, I'd still recommend to keep all bookings through the website as this will ensure you have a steady stream of new clients, a good amount of work. I'm saying this because I've seen many tutors avoiding websites or agencies and then being left without any lessons or new clients after a few months
If you like tutoring, you'll find that this is a chance to improve your tuition method and gain a lot of experience.
Of course, this is not a career and most tutors have a day job, so it might not be the right choice for someone with a Mon-Fri work. That's because most tuition is done after 4 on weekdays and during weekends
