I learned about “social proof” in a college marketing class but had never thought about how it might work on a social app until I read the Twicsy website. It all made perfect sense. People buy products when they think people like them already buy them, and they’re going to watch videos with high view counts because they think others just like them already watched them. I bought 1000 views for one of my TikTok posts and it worked just like magic, my viewership started climbing day after day. I feel dumb it hadn’t occurred to me before, but better late than never!
