This is a bad news/good news story - the bad news was that my new toilet seat was damaged in transit, however the good news is that once I had sent them photographs of the item and packaging, this was quickly replaced with a new item. The person who dealt with my query was personable and apologetic and keen to resolve the problem and so I would use this company again.
