I'm a non-citizen and non-resident; an Australian holding a UK Ancestry visa, about to move to the UK. I bought a property, so far so good, but getting insurance for it proved difficult. UK Insurance NET came to the rescue and managed to find me a policy that would work, despite the property being used as a holiday house. The policy was not cheap mind you, but it did get me out of a jam. Service was really good. Quick and clear communication, both by phone and by follow-up email. Very happy with the result.
