We enjoyed the Rainbow Wrap and the Poké Bowl. The pre-service was good and the order was delivered on time. The cool box used for delivery is a great idea and saves on excess packaging. We were, however, disappointed with the amount of packaging used for the products and with the 'easy peel' boxes - a large amount of the plastic remained connected to the card, meaning that we weren't able to separate our waste as much as we would do normally. We were especially dissatisfied with the excess packaging used for the Don't Be Chicken Burger Kit, in which there were 8 different pieces of plastic packaging, and the Tropical Jack Pizza, which included BBQ sauce and bag of salad - enough for 1/2 an adult. We feel that neither of these accompaniments were necessary. We note you state that you have reduced your plastic packaging by 80%, though it seems there is a long way to go to in this area, especially as sustainability is one of your main aims. It is understandable that you want to go the extra mile to create a quality product, though we wonder whether your customers would appreciate it more should ingredients such as mayonnaise, hoi sin sauce, or BBQ sauce be optional. By giving the customer the option for these extras, many of which people already have at home, you could also point out that this will result in extra packaging, giving your sustainability-conscious customers the final choice.
For these reasons, we are unlikely to choose Vegan Masters again. Good luck with your continued journey.
