As soon as you walk into the Viceroy you receive a very friendly and warm welcome from all of the staff. The atmosphere is chilled with soft music in the background. The staff show you to your seat and make sure you are comfortable. The tables are set with quality cutlery, white cotton tablecloths and napkins and soft lighting. Once settled they bring your menus and take your drinks ordered whilst you look at the menu. If you are unsure of what a dish contains they will take the time out to explain what is in the dish, if you have any allergies, how spicy it is and they will also adapt dishes to your preference. Nothing is too much trouble. All of the staff are excellent and polite, especially Freddie who ensures the smooth running of the restaurant and that attention to detail is maintained throughout! The food comes out hot and is presented on warm plates. Everyone's meals arrive at the same time. The staff check everything is to your liking and amend if not eg. too spicy. Nothing is too much trouble and they endeavour to ensure you have a pleasant experience at all times! There is a really good selection of dishes, meat, fish, vegetarian and the menu highlights what ingredients are in each dish. If you like a sweet treat to finish off your meal there is also a new selection of desserts which are very tasty and presented lovely. They also do a nice selection of coffees/drinks to sit and relax with at the end of your meal. The food is excellent value for money and you feel like you have had a really special experience. If you have a special occasion such as a birthday let the staff know and they will make do their best to help you celebrate it!! Overall just a really lovely lovely place to go for good food and a special night out!
