I woke up early enough to make sure I make a call to the surgery as soon as they open at 8am. I got in and spoke to someone about getting an appointment about a problem I have, instead they referred me to go see another GP who I’m not referred to in a time I couldn’t get there fast enough, so instead they told me that they will get a pharmacist to call me later, once again a pharmacy not near my house and that I’m referred to, when I told them I can’t make it there they told me to finally pop into my referred pharmacy so I did, to be then told to go to the gp, got there to be told that the pharmacist should have given me a referral note so I went BACK to the pharmacy, got the note back to the doctors only for them to tell me I have an appointment for Friday. SO much running around and waisting time when I could have been given the appointment over phone as I was expecting and should have been given when I originally called at 8 in the morning. By the time this was all sorted it was well around 11:30 it’s just ridiculous!
