I have previously been a fairly loyal customer to Watchfinder. However, I recently sold an Air King 5500 back to them for £2700, which I had previously purchased from them in 2018. I then found my watch being sold on their website for £4400.
That's a ridiculous markup and just plain greedy that they didn't offer me more for the watch!
They did not return any of my telephone calls and in the end I got this email from them...
" Good afternoon Adam,
I hope this email finds you well and thank you for bearing with me.
I have raised this matter with both our purchasing and sales manager, as the final price has been accepted and the payment has been made, we would not look to edit/increase this I’m afraid.
The purchasing manager would however like to offer £500 off your next purchase of £2000.00 or more as a gesture off good will, providing you are happy with this I will arrange for this to be written up and sent to you
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards
Luke Johnston. "
Why on earth they would think I would ever buy a watch from them again beggars belief. An absolute bloody insult!
My advice is to avoid them and use Chrono24 or Burrells.
