This really does have the feel of a SCAM. Apparently when I bought a rail ticket on line, I inadvertently filled in an on-line application form that allowed Completesavings to take £15 per month from my account! This happened many months ago, but unfortunately I only noticed today. Since the payments started, I have received no communication giving information as to how I am supposed to benefit from the scheme... which I never intended to join. I have telephoned Completesavings three times to ask for a form to claim back the money taken from my account. I have been told that the claim form has been sent by email; but it has not arrived as yet. In fairness, the telephone calls were all made today. I may be wrong, but it feels like I am being discouraged from applying for my money back. When I called the fraud team at my bank, I was told by the lady to whom I spoke that she herself had been caught out by this. It seems that if I persist I have a chance of getting my money back. If you are in this position, don't take no for an answer. |Be careful when you by anything on line... including train tickets. Completesavings telephone number is 0800 389 6960. You are likely to speak to an overseas (very polite) assistant.
