There was a film on the windscreen every time the wipers passed across when raining. I bought new wipers from Wipers Direct and was still experiencing the same issue.
I contacted Wipers Direct and the same day I received a reply with a solution to the problem.
I followed the directions and have the wipers are providing the clearest windscreen I have had in the rain for a long time.
