Just spent the week with our family in surf village. Positives were the site in surf village (Woolacombe Bay) is calm and not as busy as the main site. Caravan it’s self was spacious but not considered a “platinum style” caravan….the fridge didn’t work brilliantly and the beds were uncomfortable. The linens provided are thin and fall off the pillows and mattress. The two bathrooms are nice and the shower is large which is nice. There is lots of space for kids to run outside safely which was nice. However very far from the main reception we’re all the activities are and you need to drive with young kids (too far for them to walk) the parking once you get to the main reception is very limited and touch and go and adds a bit of Russian roulette stress. Food is ok not amazing but not horrible always served hot. The kids beach ball breakfast was a long wait quite frustrating when they are just serving one sausage and toast. Service is good some staff are very friendly which is brilliant but some are not so friendly and make you feel like you are a bother. I didn’t get the name of the not nice one but one in particular at the main bar long dark hair very rude and speaks to her colleagues more then the guests (couldn’t even say good morning) There are a few excellent staff the manager at the main bar very friendly and helpful. The masseuse at the spa Erol very professional and knowledgeable about his craft. The spa receptionist and the seg way trainer (young blonde lady) very nice and friendly and the lady’s running pottery….they were brilliant and so patient with the kids. Went to see the other site twickenham (not spelled correctly I’m sure) not close enough to walk but went for the outdoor activities which were great but prefer our site as a main location. All in all a great holiday would consider traveling again. Stunning views and the site is very clean which is impressive!
