Silver Fern Farms has a nice website and would like you to think that their beef is perfect but I fell for that and what I received was beef that was slaughtered and packaged in August of 2021 and I received in March of 2023 when I questioned this they said "they had a special process that makes the beef last for up to 24 months" well I got it at the end of its life almost! Why didn't they send me beef that's expires at the end of 24? maybe slightly earlier but by their own standards my meet is almost finished. Ask yourself do you want meat that is almost two years old for a premium price. I didn't either. They would not tell me what their "special process was" but whatever it is, meat still DEGRADES WITH TIME no matter how you freeze it so basically then sent me OLD MEAT! They tried to buy me off with a few samples and guess what the meat they sent expired in late 2024 GO FIGURE. Why didn't they send me that from the get go.. The meat has a gray coloring to it when it thaws. I basically was sold very old meat and they tried to sway me with a few samples of later meat which should have been sent from the get go. They are Chinese Owned if that matters to you and just a guess but I would bet that the later dates go you know where but not sure of that so I now have a freezer full of old beef which even by their standards should be thrown away soon. This is my exact experience you may have a different one I hope it's better than mine. I will not risk another try NO WAY.
