I've been using a button maker by the American Button Machines for a couple of years. This ingenious mechanical device (no electricity required) is fun and easy to use. Making your own buttons is addictive (in a good way)! You create new designs on a computer, print them on regular paper, and make buttons. They may even be hand-drawn. It's a great family crafts activity. We are also using it at a nonprofit organization to make buttons and use them as giveaways at different events - this is always a huge draw, and they are very inexpensive compared to other types of giveaway items. The same device may be used to make refrigerator magnets, keychains, and some other items - you just need to get supplies for that.
