Good advice throughout from Derek, as I weighed my backplate/wing options. I was changing equipment after years of using an AP wing, so I appreciated his wealth of experience with Apeks gear. The APEKS D-30 PSD is well designed, solidly made and slimmer than my old wing. I am impressed with the overall APEKS quality. The backplate is 2.2 kg before assembly; just the right amount of weight if you’re looking to streamline your set-up. The deluxe harness is simple to thread and can be customised for weight pockets if I need them in the future. All in all, an impressive package.
