Some years ago I purchased a Hendon 3.4m tripod ladder for my garden, to ease access to high yew hedges. This was so much better than extending ladders or step ladders (4 legged) that I have now taken delivery of a 2.4m and a 4.8m tripod for trees and topiary ! These are easier to handle than extending ladders and feel much safer on soft or uneven ground. The service from Browns has been exemplary and I would recommend a tripod ladder to anyone who has felt unsafe on the 2 or 4 legged types!!!
