The first eheat I installed was about 10 years ago. At some point about a month ago something must have stuck inside the heater. The wall got so hot that it could not be touched. We were lucky to be home and noticed the problem. It was so hot the house could have stated on fire. Installed new thermostat, did not fix problem. Already wired so I replaced the unit with a new one, seems to be working O.K.
