Dealt with FSCS in recovering money for me, a task FSCS make very difficult for non-professionals. Good communication on progress, but the process still took 18 months form submission of the claim because FSCS are not capable of doing thier job in any sort of reasonable timeframe. Gains Clark fees are not cheap but they are paid only on success. If the FCA had done their job competently, none of this would have been necessary!
