I bought a Monstera Thai Constellation and one of the leaves had splinters. At first I thought it was dirt so I rubbed it out with my fingers and I ended up having several splinters on my thumb and index. It took me a while to get rid of them with tweezers and I still have one that had gone under my skin (and it's painful).
