When I hadn’t heard from Jumbo Pets for a few days (I had placed the order before 11am for “next day dispatch”), I became concerned. I called several times over the next two days but got nothing more than voicemail. I wrote a very kind email asking for some information - anything - about my order. I heard nothing. It wasn’t until about 1 week after I’d placed the order that I wrote a terse email which seemed to get their attention. Apparently they had been on minimal staff since the Christmas holiday period, which implied nobody was around to take my calls or read my emails... I was not entirely impressed with this response but what more could I do? Fortunately, the communication from that point improved drastically and the order arrived a few days later. I then ordered another of the same a couple of weeks later. Both the communication and the service was gold standard...5 Stars! Considering I was at one point looking to contact The Department of Fair Trading and giving these people a 1 star review, this is a pretty decent redemption story. I would have given 5 stars had we not got off on the wrong foot. Everything worked out perfectly in the end so, thanks very much!
