I waited a few weeks after receiving the 'Squirrel Buster - 100% Guaranteed' to see how I got on with it. I immediately found that I needed at least three hands to hook it into position, whilst at the same time attempting to stop the inner 'seed chamber' from spilling seed, as I maneuvered the whole Assembly onto the hook. At the same time, another hand has to raise the 'Grip Tube' away from the hook! As I live on my own I had to get help every time a refill was needed; not good.
I have solved my problem with two measures:
1. I've eased the size of the hole by one mm; it was far too snug a fit when trying to pass the hook through it, and at the same time trying to minimise the tilt angle.
2. Once I have filled the seed compartments, I pull up the top drilled rod of the outer cage, and wedge a wine bottle cork through one of the feeding access spaces; this jams the inner cage in its top position.
3. When the Assembly is hanging, ease out the cork stopper.
Replacing the Assembly (after replenishing the feeder) is now a simple one-person task.
Finally, no Squirrel has gained entry; they have to rely on droppings below.
Thank you for the Squirrel Buster; it has attracted a variety of small birds to my garden, busily engaged in feeding.
