This is my first order from Pasturebird. Some of the legs were deformed or broken. See picture here of a deformed leg which is just a nub growing out of the thigh. On another package of drumsticks a leg came broken. I used to encounter this situation in grocery store chicken but I never thought it should happen in pasture raised chicken. Very unsettling. Also, the amount of fat on these chickens is almost comparable to grocery store chicken. Usually pasture raised chickens are leaner because they get more exercise. And the bones are softer than other pasture raised chickens I’ve had, which probably means they had a much shorter life and had less time to deposit nutrients. Also, my order was shipped out almost a week after I placed it. I don’t think I will order again from Pasturebird.
