This dress lives up to its promise of looking and feeling extremely authentic to the period. It's very nicely cut and beautifully constructed. I like the higher neckline and the folding side closure is effective for shaping at the waist. I absolutely love the whimsy of the original pattern too! I was a little unsure about the sizing when purchasing, but choosing according to my measurements (plus some wiggle room for comfort) worked well. In case it's helpful for anyone else: I'm usually a size 8 but I went for a 10. I can't wait to wear this dress out when the sun finally returns!
