I took my subs to get installed yesterday and when I came to pick up my car the audio guys that had done the installation told me I should give Skar Audio a call because the box rattles and it sounds like something may be loose inside the box which in result lowers the quality of the sound. I was super bummed when I took off and heard the rattling for myself. It just sounds like after the bass drops and has passed it still rattles and it throws everything off. It just sounds bad. Hopefully someone else has had a similar experience so we know there is a quick solution. The audio guys said that usually Skar is pretty good about this type of thing and hoped that I’d get a new box sent out to me. I’m not sure if it was damaged during shipping or where the problem occurred but it definitely sounds like there is something loose inside the box causing the rattling making the system sound poor. Please help me fix this! Also, my bass knob doesn’t control the bass, it doesn’t work at all. I took it back to the shop to verify it was installed correctly and it doesn’t work at all. The last pair of subs I had were kicker comps, and the bass knob was also kicker and was able to control the bass down to the lowest setting all the way to the highest setting. This bass knob doesn’t work at all, the only way for me to lower the bass is for me to turn my master volume low and high and through the audio settings of the car itself.
