Just received the delivery of a Hamburg Argo limited edition today which was a clearly used product. Customer service was trying to convince me it is normal for a new watch to have the foil detached/ reattached poorly, scratches on the strap and signs of wear. This is what everyone should expect in a new watch, right?
Why not simply accept that you have sold a returned/refurnished product instead of a new one? The Hamburg Argos model is a 1499 limited edition which apparently you cannot order it via the main website anymore. I happened to order via a direct link I had saved in my browser and was showing under 1% available, so probably they're currently just selling the returned items on this model now advertised as "new".
Having said that, I was willing to buy the Naos model instead (not willing to risk another refurbished on the Argos) and only get a partial refund, however customer service wouldn't give a toss offering any solution.
Good luck with such an attitude Sternglas. In the cut-throat watch industry you won't get too far. And you really shouldn't.
