I stumbled upon Sternglas while searching the internet for 'top watches under $1,000' and for watch style/trends. I found the website and was immediately interested. I previously wore an Echo/Neutral and a Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 but the negatives of an automatic, began to out weight the benefits. I was shopping for a watch with a larger profile but with the field watch feel to it. The Hamburg Chrono silver with grey nylon strap was exactly what I was looking for and wow does it pop! I received 2 compliments on day one wearing it! I especially appreciate the sapphire crystal and that for a quartz watch, it is not ultra thin. This is indistinguishable from the quality of an automatic. I have no regrets and am about to order the same watch in Regatta. For under $1,000, I will have two great watches that have the look and feel of the Tag Heuer. The only area where I was disappointed is that there is not solid black nylon strap available for this watch. Thank you!
