Best for warmer, dryer climates than North Wales!
I own several pairs of Wildling shoes, most in my true foot size (42), which fit well (with thin or no socks).
The last pair I bought, I ordered a size up (43), as I cannot fit a woollen sock in the 42's, they're simply too narrow to accommodate anything other than bare feet or very thin socks. Not ideal for me in winter!
I can wear the latest (43) pair with thick socks, and they are cosy- but they are, of course, longer than my feet need. I'm keeping them, and walking carefully, as it's more valuable for me to have warm feet and a width fit vs the correct length.
I'd like to see Wildling offer a broad fit alongside their current range; I can't be the only person who wants to wear winter shoes with winter socks!
I like the materials used and the careful construction, and I like that you can swap out the cotton laces for elastic so that the shorter styles become slip-ons. I'm not keen on the narrowness of across the ball of the foot, nor the postage costs, and beware customs charges levied if you go above a certain cost; in the UK they are punitive and make the price of the shoes too costly to import (for me, anyway)
