I was surprised that on previous bookings direct with the hotel I had not needed to pay anything but only to give credit card details, and to pay on arrival at hotel. This option was not given by the agent. There was not a further request for the balance of the full payment when this became due, until I emailed the hotel to ask what the situation was. In future bookings I shall attempt to deal directly with the hotel as there seemed much disadvantage in my inadvertently booking with SA Hotels.
