A good weekend in the Pilansberg. Hotel is comfortable but the furnishings are a little dated. Breakfasts were of superior quality and dinners were good with superb desserts. After requesting this from management, we joined Bakubung for their late afternoon game drive and bush braai. For me, this remains an absolute highlight in the Pilansberg and makes me proud to be a South African! A game driver, by the name of Solly, was brilliant; knowledgeable and entertaining too! This remains a pricey weekend for a local citizen but an amazing escape from the busy life in Johannesburg.
