“We really love apologia! My kids have tried many different curricula for science. We love how interactive the science curriculum is. I higher recommend it if you want interactive videos.”
“It is a very thorough and comprehensive program. However, there is a lot of work to complete and a lot of reading to complete when you have other subjects to complete within the same day for middle schoolers. However, the program is very good. The online canva platform could be a little bit more organized but overall very good.”
“Overall it has been great, but I wish my student could take the test at least 3-4 times one of two or provide me the opportunity to delete the test to let my student take the test again.”
Thank you for your feedback! Modules 1 and 2 tests can be taken as many times as needed, and the rest of the tests have a default of 2 attempts. Our team has added more test attempts for your student, and you can look for an email from us with more information!
“We have loved our Apologia Science for our 3rd, 5th and 7th grade children. They enjoy listening in to each other’s textbooks once in a while and enjoy their notebooking journals.”
“This is my 8th year in a row using Apologia science. I love it's Christian foundation and it's appeal to all learning styles. We use it in many different varieties: self-paced, audio book, in person textbook, and extensions like the notebooking journal. Look no further...this is the best science curriculum.”
“I found the general science curriculum to be a little too rigorous for my 7th grade child. It required a fair amount of adaptation to make it more hands on and less textbook/reading heavy. Not a very good fit for my student.”
“I am a little disappointed in the labs and the professionalism in the lab videos. Also I wish that since I have two children with the grading system that both would be able to access the book/modules in their own accounts instead of having to sign out and in to their brothers to watch the videos and then sign out and back in to theirs to take tests.”
“We have very much enjoyed our science curriculum this year with apologia. My kids are in middle school and this is our first year trying Apologia, and I wish I would’ve used it since the beginning our our homeschooling years!”
“I’m so frustrated with this curriculum. It has completely sucked the joy out of learning. I have a 1st grader. This is not 1st grade work! It’s at least 3rd grade, if not 4th! We were liking the OT, then all the sudden- she’s adding 3-4 hand movements per week instead of 1!”
“The physical science is WONDERFUL!! The videos are well made and the labs are terrific! Excellent preparation for higher level Chemistry and Physics.”
“The Physical Science course with accompanying online videos is superb! The videos are engaging and the accompanying workbook is just the right amount of work for my student. However, as a busy homeschooling mom of 4, I wish there were a teacher guide for the student workbook. It takes a lot of time to go back through the daily student reading to check the work. I realize that the answers won’t be exactly the same, but having a general idea of what my student’s response should be would be extremely helpful.”
“This is our second year using the Math curriculum. It is fantastic! Having previously been in public education, I've seen a lot of Math curriculum and its lack of mastery from year to year. The activities in your program are memorable and provide an anchor for my kids to reference when they use a skill again. Thank you!!!”
“It would be awesome if you had a teacher's answer key to questions in the workbook and test. It's a tough course and would be helpful for me to expand on teaching on parts she doesn't understand from reading/video alone.”
“Seems like a great program. My daughter has gotten overwhelmed with all the writing. And she doesn’t like the layout of the website. Doesn’t seem to flow with the videos and assignments.”
“LOVE APOLOGIA science! We have homeschooled since 2018 and have searched the whole time for a science that the kids and I liked and finally found it in Apologia!!!”
