“Handed over my manuscript completely terrified that someone would tear it apart or not understand what I was going for. The opposite happened. My editor got the tone immediately, respected my voice throughout and only suggested changes that genuinely made the story better. Never once felt like she was trying to rewrite it into something else. That kind of editorial sensitivity is rare and I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced it with my first book.
