I had recently started camming on Chaturbate after a long break. I have been a member in good standing for over 10 years and have enjoyed the interactions on the site.
On the 3rd of July I attempted to log in only to receive a message stating that my account had been banned and to contact support if I wanted further information, which I did.
In their reply, they stated that they had "received a report about someone offering prohibited content. This individual was immediately banned from the Chaturbate platform. In reviewing the individual’s account and offer, everyone they attempted to engage with their offer of prohibited content was placed in a protective suspension pending review. In reviewing your interactions, we found that you expressed interest in their prohibited offer."
I contacted support again to explain that I was trying to get the user to interact further on Chaturbate as they had asked me to Skype twice (which I refused in the chat both times!). I thought it would assist Chaturbate in a legal prosecution if I kept the user talking on the site.
Chaturbate's reponse was to cherry pick a couple of lines of chat and say that breached their terms of service, and the ban on my account is permanent.
As I had only just recently submitted my government ID for age verification, I am hardly likely to go breaking the law and risking prosecution. I also have 10 years worth of media that I have paid for in that account, and I have been denied access to it.
I understand Chaturbate's need to uphold the law, but I had a good reason to interact with this user in order to have them taken off the site, and was not seeking to take part in the offer as I refused to go offsite twice!
In my opinion the decision was entirely arbitrary on Chaturbate's behalf and in spite of repeatedly requesting a review and re-evaluation of my case, Support no longer replies to my emails.”
