“I'm glad I chose Ex Why Zed to print my first zine! I came across EWZ on Youtube when I was looking for videos on zine layouts and publications. The video showed different zines for their clients and explained the binding, types of paper, and the rationale behind each project. Even though they were located in the UK and I was based in Canada, I decided to go with them because their website included every bit of information I needed to know to create my first zine - everything from the different types of paper (I received paper samples for free), types of binding, client examples, step-by-step instructions on how to set up different types of zines based on the binding, # of pages etc. From my first email to Mike to the end of my project, his response rate was really quick and answered every question I had. Most of all, he was very upfront with everything. All my zines were shipped and arrived within one day and I'm glad to say nothing was damaged as they were all packaged really nicely and safe. I was even more surprised to find extra copies and now I'm able to gift them to more friends and family. It's surreal to hold your project physically instead of seeing it through a screen.
