“my daughter is 19 and posts a lot on social media which is fine shes an adult but i got worried when she mentioned some guy was using her photos... we uploaded a few of her pics and found them on a fake facebook account pretending to be someone else entirely. reported it and got it taken down within a week. i know some people think this is paranoid but when its your kid you want to know. the image search actually works and im glad we have it as a tool now”
“Works okay for what it is. Uploaded a photo to see where it appeared online and got some results but not everything. Found it on 2 sites but i know theres more out there. Better than nothing but dont expect it to catch every single repost”
“so i sell handmade jewelry on etsy right and i kept seeing my product photos pop up on random facebook marketplace listings... people literally stealing my pics to scam buyers. used the image search to find everywhere my photos were being reposted and reported like 6 accounts. still find new ones sometimes but at least now i can track them down. wish etsy had something like this built in honestly”
“Guy messaged my girlfriend on instagram with some story about knowing her from college. She didnt recognize him. Ran his photo through here, turns out its a stock image. Blocked immediately”
“Now whenever an unknown number appears, I run it through Findsio automatically. It became a habit. Fast, quiet, gives enough context to decide without overthinking. No need to open multiple tabs anymore. Stays in my routine.”
