Unfortunately, we have no internal control over which states we’re forced to collect and pay sales taxes in.
Since 2018, every state in America has passed new laws saying that once you’ve sold a specific amount of product to residents of a given state, you’re forced to collect and pay sales tax there.
This is called “Nexus” and it’s different from state to state. Unfortunately, it means, as we grow and reach new customers in every state, we have to begin collecting sales tax in those states.
This process is 100% automated and outside of our control to change or modify. As of this year, we are now required to collect sales tax in Texas.
As always, we are doing everything we can to keep our prices as low as possible to help offset this added expense.
