“I was happy with the quotes, but the prices had gone up when I checked them the next day. I tried to retrieve a quote using a link emailed to me that took me directly to the insurer's website and they were unable to retrieve the quote, so I didn't buy the insurance using GoCompare because of these issues.”

This is determined by the insurer based on the risk presented to them such as your driving experience, vehicle details, age etc. However, prices are based on real time pricing and subject to change, which means if you return at a later time to purchase the policy, the previous price is not held for you and an updated quotation will be provided.
