“Original price looked good. Not so happy when I clicked through to the insurer, to find the premium,even when I changed to paying annually instead of monthly, was still £30 more. £50 if I paid monthly.”

Insurer's prices are based on information about you, such as your age, driving experience and vehicle details. “I would like to use Gocompere for my van insurance, I find I cannot answer some of the Questions. I had a false claim put against my car which has been settled as a non fault. When your questionnaire asks who was driving it will not allow me to put nobody and how much did it cost nothing, because it was a false claim I and my car were not involved therefore if I do not answer these questions the insurance company assumes that I have not declared and charge nearly double the price for making ammendments”

“The site is easy to access and questions are logically sequenced to generate a wide range of alternative quotes. 66 produced in my case, enabling me to then prioritise my options and make a reasoned choice. To obtain these personally would have taken literally hours, rather than the 10 minutes or so spent on the GC site.”

“Very good website, easy to use and handy that they keep your details so you don't need to reenter every year. The problem with the results though are that apart from the price you have no details of what is covered by the company and what isn't. I got a quote which was 50% cheaper than my existing company and on the surface seemed to offer exactly the same cover. But when you went into the details some very important areas were not covered in all situations. In the end, for a few hundred pounds more I would rather not take the chance, so I am staying with my existing insurer for now.”
