“No matter how often I receive a quote every time I press the link it takes me to more expensive quotes. I can press it instantly on receiving the quote but always it’s more expensive. Waste of my time. Don’t trust them at all”

This is determined by the insurer based on the risk presented to them such as your driving experience, vehicle details, age etc. However, prices are based on real time pricing and subject to change, which means if you return at a later time to purchase the policy, the previous price is not held for you and an updated quotation will be provided. “I liked GoCompare for the speed with which I could have a quote. And I accepted one of them. I liked that they gave me £250 excess free - but I'd already got that with my quote. But I didn't like all the questions about my age and family. I found that quite intrusive. Perhaps all insurance quotes are like that? My husband died recently, so I wasn't up on how to do everything.”
