“3rd visit, previous 2 visits were excellent. However we were not impressed with this visit, the way we were treated was bad. We ask where the previous staff were and we were told “gone” we did not feel welcomed at all. After spending £167 I expect better. The meals were absolutely top class no complaints there. If this had been our first visit we would never be returning.”
“First time, last time there. We moved into area went there the meal was awful. I had chicken skewers , sent 1st lot back , cold. Second lot came with masses of salad, took chicken home for the dog, my husbands gammon was tough, my son said his gammon was okay. Waitress’s attitude was not good she said nobody else has complained. Shame really perhaps we just had a bad experience”

My squid was rubbery the house salad seemed limp as was the side salad
A complaint was made to the waiting staff and they said they will report it to the chef but heard nothing back so very disappointed c for my first time in there and won’t be going back unless they respond back”
“We ate here on a Tuesday night before taking part in the quiz. The food was delicious and we were served by Libby and Cailin who were both very attentive and very polite and friendly both a credit to your establishment”
“Well again visit rump steak peppercorn and one turkey Sunday lunch told waitress steak was tough to which she replied it was down to cow it come from no it's because you buy the cheapest cuts and cook them badly it is very hit and miss at this pub sometimes very good other times totally pants and this was one of those visits”

“Popped in for lunch on Saturday and had a great meal.
We had mixed grill, and two burgers and everything was cooked how we asked for it, from medium steak to one of the burgers being really well done. There was also a good selection of beers and I settled for a Peroni this time.
We were greeted by Molly who looked after us throughout our visit. She was friendly and attentive and made the experience more enjoyable.

“Booked on 6th April, for 1.15pm, for me and my friend, the dinner was not worth £15.00 each, my dinner was not enough turkey really, the roast potatoes were very small some were hard, think maybe frozen potatoes bought, but no taste, my friend had beef, there was lot of fat on her beef, which she left, her potatoes were the same as mine, really small and bit hard. Not many people in there really, was very disappointed we had processco which was fine but not worth £15.00 each for the dinner, definitely not.”

“Great pub all year, beautiful lawned gardens with barbecue, lovely warm fires in winter, food is good and plenty of room inside, car park at rear and big it is too, off Oundle Road at the roundabout is a good location and a busy pub, good beer and wines.”
