Everything was explained and nothing was to much trouble.

Brilliant design, British engineering resulting in a truly amazing roof that you don't know is there until you need the extra space.
It was the low profile that attracted me to the Hilo roof in the first place and people still can't believe I have a pop top fitted. Wayne and the team did the full fit for me and the workmanship and service was first class.
The whole experience from meeting Wayne to look at the roof for the first time to picking the Van up after completion was both personal and professional and I would recommend the Hilo roof to anyone looking to create a dream camper.

“The hilo roof is by far the the lowest and highest roof we ever seen , it Has made a massive difference to our van and we have had loads of very good comments . The quality of the fitting is 1st class . We had the 2 day fit which means finishing the interia carpeting and fitting some trims , basic DIY stuff .

We went to see Wayne who was happy to spend time with us, showing us the product and explaining the process etc.
The process was simple and easy even down to being ran to the train station and back - nothing was too much trouble.
The roof is excellent and for those who just want the roof - you cant get better in my opinion - whe we had had it done I was asked regularly when I was having the roof fitted - you really cant see it when its down. For anyone who is slightly mechanically minded you will marvel at the quality of the engineering.
Overall I cant rate it enough - the Best of British high top living.”

To say that I am a picky customer is an understatement; in addition I am an Automotive Engineer. Between fitting and leaving this feedback I have been over the roof time and time again looking for anything I am not happy with. Not just the finish but the fixings – Everything!
The quality is excellent, the design superb, the HiLo team fantastic. Every query and question answered, all my quirky requests fulfilled. It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with the team.
I am so proud of my roof that if your stood by the van, be warned you will be getting the full demo. From the Tardis like headroom, versatility of window configuration ( from snug warm to wind tunnel ) and the scenic option which takes the van to a whole new level literally.
Yes these roofs do cost a little more than some, but every time some says “I thought you had a pop top fitted”, I know I made the right choice.

“An amazing roof so descrete when down had to convince one chap that it was a pop top as he didn't believe me! And when it's up its huge my old pop top could barely roll over as my feet just fit in. Now you can fit either way have even had my 15 month old in his travel top up there. Loads of head room when he bed is up again compared to my old roof as you got to the back your head would hit the roof. With this even hight all the way you can even use the sliding cover as a stand up bed.
The other thing that sold it to me after having a bad experience with a strap securing roof with a bracket failing and the whole roof coming off on the M4. The hilo roof is far superior with a latch fitting with a solid clunk to secure in place along with 4 further securing bolts in each corner.
The low profile of the roof pretty much eliminates the wind noise I had with the other roof.
VanQuest fitted the roof for me top class job a lot of time and effort spent taking he old roof out removing the furniture then re fitting.
Great communication from the hilo team queries answered very promptly by phone or email.

“A great two days working with Wayne and the boys but got to admit it was eek ! When the disc cutter went into the roof of my T5. The result though is worth it.
The advantage of the roof raising high at the rear of the van has totally changed my mind on the kitchen pack and rock and roll bed and have decided to be different from the rest.
Will be visiting the trade stands at this summers shows with my scribbled drawings and then finish the build in the winter.
The T5 is a family project and everyone is very impressed with roof, even friends who own fully converted vans can see the advantage of the extra space coupled with the long wheel base. My one mate remarked " When the roofs up you could go into the Giraffe removal business "
The roof raises so high though you have to watch out for trees on camp sites, but stows as if it is a normal van and gets under the height barriers at car parks and wild life parks with no bother.

“I have had a hilo roof fitted to my lwb t5 and as much as I love the photos you see online it's even better in the flesh! The engineering put into the frame puts the rest to shame, the service from Wayne, Sharon and the team is top notch really nice to meet genuine nice people. Wayne takes the the time to go through the whole operation of the roof and what I needed to do to complete it (one day fit) I would recommend this to anyone as I feel the look and quality is so much better than SCA and Remo. If anyone is thinking about having one and wants to see mine please contact the Hilo team and they can arrange it with me.
Wayne one for a future design would be to incorporate an awning rail into the frame.
