“So far I’ve placed 4 orders with Hobbytronics and have been very nicely surprised with their service. One such order was for multiple small items of a somewhat diverse nature and placed at a few minutes after 11am, I received an email the same day at 15.56 informing me that my order had been dispatched and said order was received the following day. This has been the same for all of my orders to date, all received within 48 hours of being placed. Don’t know if this is due to being mainland UK or not but certainly no complaints.”

“The correct parts were delivered on time at a good price - simple. Delivery was impacted by 1-2 days due to snow - beyond Hobbytronics' reasonable control. I regularly buy relatively items that have a low total cost which makes P&P disproportionate - a review of policy would be appreciated.”

Martin, thank you for your comments. Regarding our P&P costs, it costs us a minimum of between £1 and £2.80 + VAT to post on a Royal Mail 1st Class service depending on the thickness of the items. On top of that is the cost of the envelope and time involved in picking, packing and processing the order. We have kept our P&P charge at £2 + VAT for a long time and will probably have to increase slightly very soon due to the constant price increases in this service every year. We do not believe in building P&P costs into our products as we feel this is unfair. I hope this goes some way to explaining our pricing policy and you might view it as better value in the future. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain.

“I bought the Midi din to USB converter and was very ,very happy with the service,and the converter, which works with all my gear flawlessly.I mainly got it to use with an Arq-96 but it works with everything I have ,including an Akai Mpk mini,which it also supplies buss power to.Delivery was extremely quick and I was kept informed about delivery time.This item was half the price of similar items elsewhere,and excellent quality so will definitely be buying from Hobbytronics again.If anyone has USB midi gear and needs to either send or receive midi through standard 5pin midi leads ,then this is super useful ,and opens up loads of gear to many more uses.”

“Top quality product that fulfils a very specific niche role perfectly at half the cost of the next nearest rival and despite being ordered late afternoon it arrived the next day, a Saturday no less! Even Amazon can't match that level of service.”

“The BusPirate is my first choice when troubleshooting, Scopes are next to useless, logic probes limited, logic analyzers too complex. A USB terminal, even in Linux on a RaspberryPi Zero, is all that is needed. Packaging and delivery is always excellent.”
