“Telephone contact was friendly, helpful and effective. I was slightly confused by receiving no less than five temporary passwords to access my documents. And the non active form for signing up for direct debit was a frustration.”

“The policy is as good as any you will find for an overseas property although not cheap. If you buy your policy locally, you will find it cheaper but you will probably not understand it and the cover is unlikely to be as good. The phones are answered promptly and the staff are polite, friendly and knowledgeable although calls are prolonged by the need to listen to all the disclaimers imposed on them by the FCA. I used to pay the premium by monthly instalments but have stopped because their finance provider hiked the APR to 24.5% on a loan which is secured against the policy. Intasure then tried to charge me for paying the premium in one go. If there was ever a practice designed to alienate customers, it is this.”

“On telephoning, to renew my policy, l was notified in a fully verbal resume of the key points of my policy. All very clearly stated in a brief & concise manner. My call was answered very quickly, no messing about with complicated menus to navigate.”

“I was unhappy that Intasure had imposed a 2.5% charge on the premium payment by one-off bank transfer. I could understand if this was to cover a credit card cost, but there is no real cost to Intasure of receiving a bank payment (and there is already a £30 admin fee included in the renewal cost that would more than cover any modest bank charge). I complained about this and was happy when the lady dealing with my complaint reduced the overall renewal cost by more than the 2.5% charge, so saving me a bit of money overall.”
