“If I could, I would give no stars! STAY AWAY! DO NOT USE THIS SITE! The website requests a $39.99 pre-order fee. Their Terms and Conditions state that they may ask for a larger sum once their scan of the phone is complete. What they do not share is that the extra fee may be upwards of an additional $330, more that 900% of the Pre-Order amount. I tried to unlock an iPhone 5 and was expected to pay a total of $366 to complete the iCloud unlock. Not even a carrier unlock! Mind you the iPhone 5 is worth less than $100. I have now wasted $40 because I will not pay an extra $327 on a phone worth less than $100 and they refuse to refund even though an increase of 900% of the original fee was never mentioned in the Terms and Conditions. In my opinion, this website is a huge SCAM.”
“Paid 23 pound total fee then got an email 24 hours later saying they want an extra 74 pound absolute scam! Emailed them and they didn’t care atall sent a link to pay the 74!! Rubbish website horrible people scamming money off people”
“Asked to adjust my review with veiled threat of legal action regarding my use of the word scam.
So it’s not a scam. Absolutely 100 percent not a scam.
Just to be clear, this isn’t a scam. They have my money, I don’t have an unlocked phone. But it’s not a scam.
The total cost isn't made clear at the point of contract, and they request further extortionate funds to complete the unlocking.”
“Scam
Scam! Absolutely shocking I paid £24.99 First to get my phone unlocked then the day after they said in order to receive my unlock code it’s a further £60. I explained that I couldn’t afford that and they didn’t care, very rude customer service. Noticed that bad reviews get blocked also I will be writing to watch dog about this one!!! It’s costs £20 if u take it to the shop so why they charge these ridiculous prices is beyond me”

“Scam. Most positive reviews are fake I can easily tell. They charge £110 for an iPhone X unlock and do not disclose this clearly on their website. They make you pay for a so called pre-order which is easy to misunderstand. It makes you feel like the full price of unlock but that isn’t the case. It’s very ,misleading.”
“Don’t be taken in by fake reviews. They are a con. They say it will be £20 then hit you with a £80 additional bill. It’s there in the tiny small print hidden in reams of t&c’s. Pure fraudsters and false advertising.”
“Unlock your iPhone for £19:99 it then adds vat and says it should take around 24Hrs . Email came back congratulations your iPhone is ready to unlock just another £58.79 to pay to complete . After lots of emails to and fro i gave in , lesson learnt its in the small print 🤬 . Read the small print everyone . I ended up getting it unlocked for nothing with a little help from the previous owner . Avoid !!!”

“Paid the amount asked for upfront £18, to my understanding this was the full price. Only to then receive another email a day later asking for £120 more to unlock the phone. Go to provider instead of this company as I managed to get my phone unlocked for FREE and within a day or two!!”
“avoid them , they are scammers. they will get your money and the next day they will ask you to pay more to complete the unlock or lose your money that you paid”
“Their sales process is unclear and misleading and the £17.99 payment is a gamble. Customer services involves sending the same pre-formatted email blaming the customer for not reading their T's &C's. Any company who rely on their Terms in this way is one to avoid.”
“Purchased a used iPhone 8+ off eBay. It was still locked so I paid d $20 to this service anticipating assistance. Was later greeted with a request for $250 to complete service, which is more than the phone is worth. Buyer beware. It's a scam.”
“Total scam, be careful. This website is a scammers and thieves. I have complained to PayPal and got my money back, but I was lucky because I kept all e mail communication and screen shots of the order tracking on their website. They have tried to lie but were caught .. please think twice when using this site.”
“Thank you Bradley Duncan for your very detailed review. My experience is a carbon copy of yours. Total rip-off. We are not going to get a refund from this Company with their misleading pricing information, but they must be doing great business with their “pre unlocking” charge. We’ve been duped but there are lots of reviews extolling this “fantastic” company so more will fall into this trap.”

Avoid this company like the plague. I'm my opinion, this company enforce deceptive practices to obscure pricing information, with additional fees being requested to unlock your device after paying £17.99. This is not a claim of truth, as to avoid the company from reporting another review like you can see across the whole of this page.

Initially, I found iphoneapprovedunlock.com from a simple Google Search for iPhone Unlock. I submitted the IMEI number and was presented with the only option available; Pre-Order Service.
Note that as of 18/01/2020, this is the description of the product:
- 24-72 hrs Delivery
- Direct Whitelisting on Apple's Database
- Permanent Factory Unlock
- Up to 30% Saving
Here's the things you get from this product from spending £17.99:
- 24-72 hrs Delivery
- An additional charge for £76.79 (inc VAT)
- No unlock if you do not pay £76.79
- No refund once you discover that the unlock is not included, which is put in their terms and conditions.
- An email confirming your phone is locked, and the carrier it's locked to.

I contacted support immediately after reading reviews online about this company, requesting a full refund. At the time, the order status was at 20%, so therefore not fulfilled.
I got what seemed to me to be a canned response, which at the end stated "We are sorry if you have misunderstood our pre-order service. Prices for both service are stated on the price list on our website and explained in our terms of service which were agreed to at the point of purchase. This is an automated service so once the order is submitted a refund can not be issued for the pre-order."
They passed the issue over to me saying that I misunderstood their pre-order service, but looking through reviews online, you can see that it's an EXTREMELY common 'misunderstanding', which in my experience and my honest view, points again to deceptive practices.
I will happily remove this review upon a full refund being issued. My name is on this review, so you should know who this is.”
“Total Scam!!! Took my pre order payment then emailed asking for additional fee of £257 to unlock the phone. Obviously i wont pay 257 to get my iphone 11 unlocked. They never mentioned the additional fee in the pre order otherwise I would not have placed the order at all.
Requested refund for pre order but said no they wont refund so I think it's a complete cover scam to rub you. First they will quote you 18 pounds in pre order and then they will email asking for extra payments otherwise you will lose the initial payment. They will say you have agreed to the terms which states "additional fees may apply"
Really disappointed I need my money back!!!!!!!!!”
“DON'T USE IT SCAM
They ask you for $20 to unlock your phone and then they send you email asking you for $300 to complete the unlocking if you don't agree they will take the $20 according to their terms and conditions that you accepted to continue, F* Scam”
