“I attended the class in my car during my lunch break everyday for a week because it was FREE and I’m tired of the only free time I have being inside my car driving around, house to house, as I am a home health nurse. I have been nursing for 20 years and my body needs a break but I still need the money I make from nursing so I’ve been on the hunt for an alternative for almost 5 years.
I make good money because nursing is a skill set that I went to college to learn. It took me 3 years of high intensity, high stress studying and focus to graduate top of my class, which honestly never gave me any advantage over someone who barely passed.
It made sense that a new skill set would be needed but I have no desire to go back to college. Nor do I have the energy, time, or money for that. The options from there are not plentiful AND that makes me susceptible to schemers.
I’m leery of most “work from home” “opportunities”. I’ve fallen for my fair share of them so when I realized this class was free, I was much less leery and decided to sit in on the class.
I’m so glad I did! The class taught me what I needed to know to do the required basic functions of QBO, how to get a free QBO account, and how to get clients. It was a REAL how-to-start-your-own-remote-business class for free.
If you can read, write, get online, and follow directions, then you can do what is being taught. There is no math, the system works as a calculator so the numbers just have to be correct and in the right place - which, if you can read and follow directions, should not be a problem.
I am not a trusting person so when the part about all the services and included bonuses that would be included if I bought this or that started, I have to admit I rolled my eyes because I was not interesting in buying into another company making someone else rich but actually the products offered are things you will have to provide for yourself at a higher price later if not with money then with time, like the Engagement Letter that needs to be reviewed, if not composed by, a lawyer or a proposal to new client. If you’re new, it would be so nice to have perfect pdf files of all these documents that you need but don’t know you need and you can have them - done for you, but not for free. You will either spend the time and energy to do them yourself or spend the money to pay whoever did them FOR you. But it can all be done by you for “free” if sweat equity doesn’t count.
The point is that the class is real. It is worth your time and will teach you the basic skills needed to get started. Will you have questions - yes. Will you have to be a self-starter and complete tasks to see results - yes. If you follow the directions step-by-step will you have a money making business overnight - it IS possible.
Working Full Time: I went to the class for the whole week during lunch, did the homework assignments after work, spent week 2 after work setting up profiles on social media platforms, week 3 I got my first connect with a prospective client in Nigeria and that was this morning!
Whether it works out or not is irrelevant to me at this point because the connection happened, just like Bill said it would if I followed directions. So I’m going to keep on keeping on. 3 weeks in and I’m hearing from folks that are interested in my bookkeeping services. No certifications yet, no clients yet, no years of experience, a basic el-cheapo laptop… and folks are reaching out! You have NO excuse.”
