“I really appreciate the simple form-follows-function design. The materials were great and the purchasing experience was smooth. The anorak itself was almost great. It's clearly made with quality materials, but needs a bit more R & D to fix some simple but substantial design issues.”

“I bought the reel as a Christmas gift for my son. He liked it a lot. He has told me that in addition to being beautiful it is very well made and seems robust. The pity is that until the end of June he will not use it, since he wants it for salmon fishing and until that date he does not have permission.”

“This rod has some backbone, paired it with a LOOP reel and new line. I only fished once and then lent it to a friend who guide's on the Farmington River. He was impressed.”

“I have much pleasure in awarding 5 stars to my new Loop Opti Speedrunner 8wt reel, which performed with flawless gallantry on a trip to the north of Cape York, Australia. The fish there are big, bad and furious - and take a tonne of stopping. But Speedrunner mastered them all, smooth as silk. The large arbor spool makes retrieving line both quicker and less of a panic (if a fish comes towards you). My only comment is that even when the drag was set to the maximum, this proved not tight enough to check the larger beasts. I have no doubt there is a secret way to adjust this but, being new to the reel, didn't know it - so had recourse to the old (risky) method of palming the spool. Anyway, Blue Bastards, Spanish Mackerel, Spangled Emperor, Permit, Giant Herring and medium GT, my Loop nailed them all - not one breakoff, which in coral-reef waters is something.
