“The course work is well organized. It can be daunting enough doing the work with it all spelled out. Undertaking everything on our own would be an exercise in insanity. Newchip makes the process much more methodical and straight forward.”
“The program was excellent. I felt like I learned quite a significant amount of information about startups, investors, and venture capital, particularly as someone who does not have a traditional background… I feel like I gained so much knowledge and confidence that I could see myself creating a proper startup with the ability to quickly scale”
“Over the past 2 years of my entrepreneurial journey, I have never seen an accelerator program that provides so much value and support as much as I have seen with Newchip.”
“Newchip has taught me not only about funding but also about branding, marketing, financials, and even legal to some extend. Its team is always on top of me, helping me solve my challenges, doubts, and even helped me find a new partner, advisors and hopefully soon investors. Unlike other incubators or accelerators, you can really feel their support and their online program gets things to the point. Be aware though, 95% of the work is on you, they don't get things done for you or tell you what to do. They give you a map, you have to work hard to get to the treasure.”
“There are so many positive things to say about Newchip, that a short review won't encompass all of the benefits. From the content, to the responsiveness, to the authentic concerns regarding success Newchip is a genuine and beneficial accelerator. There is nothing dated, superfluous or inferior in the content provided. Moreover, the IR teams are excellent. It's a very worthwhile investment of time and money.”
“The Newchip pre-seed accelerator helped us to learn how to do our fund raising in the proper manner. This was our first time doing a fundraising event for a company and we had a lot to learn Newchip made learning the process easy. We also made a lot of great contacts with other participants, mentors and Newchip staff that will be beneficial in the future as well.”
“Great content and very good "expeert sessions".
The "NewChip Connect" is a very valuable service as well.
More exposure to investors (not just through video recordings, but, "live" pitches" ) would be probably a better way to connect to the investor community.”
“I’m a recent graduate of the Newchip Accelerator. If you’re a startup that is considering raising investment capital, I encourage you to contact Newchip and apply for their Accelerator Program. They have a challenging curriculum and a network of highly experienced advisors and mentors. The Newchip Accelerator program not only helped us with the legal and financial aspects of raising capital, but also helped us tell our story -- so that investors and customers understand how our product can be used to innovate and increase productivity.”
“I am new to the program but my experience thus far has been nothing short of fabulous. The program is clearly laid out with an enormous amount of resources. In just a few days I have learned more than 5 weaknesses that my company currently needs to address before approaching investors. In addition, the associates at Newchip have been nothing short of professional, courteous, organized, helpful, knowledgeable, and fully engaged. This program is invaluable for any business trying to take the next step in raising capital. I can't recommend it enough.”
“Newchip stands for excellence and prepares startups for the new tech-based world. The people and culture make you feel valued and educated. This program provides you with more than education, but also with purpose and meaning. They have advisors available all week and they provide you with valuable toolsets and resources that we have NEVER been provided with. We have spent over $30K of faulty advisors who were nice and professional, but they promised something that they COULD NOT OFFER, they took our money, and promised us ROI. Every meeting was NOT personable and had NO substance, we felt at a loss until we found this program.
We are truly grateful for Newchip and all they have to offer. Their accelerator program offers a way to manifest a return on the money that startups invest into this program. If you put in the hard work, you will find a promising ROI. Sharing knowledge and providing means of empowerment is important. While there is a unique cost model to take this program, their fee is LOW and WORTH it, they wouldn't be able to operate and run their program. Also, for investors it allows them to become involved in the board of a startup very early on, with a view to making later rounds of investment.
We HIGHLY recommend Newchip to any serious entrepreneur who has passion and drive to SUCCEED.”
“The CEOs in the program should come more prepared for their sessions with the mentors. We are giving valuable time away and if the CEO doesn't have an agenda, it puts pressure on the consultant to fill the time. I am hoping you will add more structure to these sessions otherwise I am not sure they are worth my limited time.”
“Newchip Accelerator is one of the true "accelerators" for early stage companies. With their well-rounded curriculum, enthusiastic and supportive team, extensive active mentor network, and connections to investors, founders looking for help in launching a great concept with high upside potential can accelerate their path with Newchip. IN addition, it's great experience connecting with other entrepreneurs/founders, including (especially) those with experience launching multiple companies. Some of the best advice comes from your fellow cohort participants.”
“I started the program in Spring 2020. The staff of Newchip is knowledgeable and friendly to work with, but it felt like I may have started the program while they went through significant (non-COVID) organizational and program changes. The program went through considerable system changes that were confusing and created technical challenges and UX adjustments for end-users; some of the metrics requested did not apply to our stage.
One of the key elements I was most excited about was the opportunity to have a mentor. Over the program's course, we were assigned three different mentors, causing us to restart a relationship each time. In the end, I never had a mentor that lasted through the entire length of the program, which was a waste of our time and effort, and it could have been worth so much more.
Another aspect of the program is the live cohort sessions with the Newchip advisor. This was an important part of the program, but more interaction and sessions would be beneficial. We started the program with two meetings a month and then decreased to one meeting a month after our first advisor's departure. Online learning has its advantages, but I find in-person, traditional class style sessions more meaningful. In the last few months of the program, Newchip offered a weekly session that allowed founders to discuss any topic. Unfortunately for us, we are bootstrapping our company and work other jobs, which was always in conflict with these midday sessions.
The "connect" program (Sofos) through LinkedIn can be an impactful part of the program. It allowed us to connect and network with people as I searched for people interested in our work. This tool can be overwhelming at times and requires several hours a week to manage responses and meetings; that's neither good nor bad, just an aspect to know upfront so you can plan to address the additional time commitment.
I found the course content helpful in many ways. I recommend that pre-seed, pre-revenue companies focus on family/friends fundraising. Looking back, I don't know that I would have started the program had I known all the changes Newchip seemed to undergo. Based on what I now see on the platform, I suspect companies going through the program now have a very different experience.”
“I very much like the NewChip accelerator experience. They guide you and support you with every questions that you may have about fundraising. Their team is dedicated and passionate. What stops me from a 5 star however is the fact that it still feels fresh, as if they're building the plane all around you while you fly on the journey. As an entrepreneur it's exciting though, and feels like we're all are working together towards a common objective. Great team. Great concept. Good execution that is improving by the day.”
