“I've always been on the lookout for new comedians as I prefer the comedy club atomosphere to stadium shows. After going to 50 years of Edinburgh Festivals my fondest memories are of taking a chance on a comedian I've never heard of and discovering a future star in a dank Edinburgh cellar. NextUp provides an easy way to do this every week with their live stream shows, while allowing depper dives with their amazing library of past performances. I still suppport my local (monthly) comedy club but when you live in a small town away from "the circuit" NextUp is the best way to keep in touch with the UK comedy scene. Its easy to use the platform, the staff are friendly and helpful- and best of all you're supporting comics, and live comedy. I have only one issue- the stream volume can be low (on a laptop) sometimes, so maybe get some speakers to watch.”
“Very disappointing, if it isn't the commedians holding the mike too far away or the poor quality jokes/stories or the massive intervals for the local audience to get drinks while we sit and twiddle our thumbs it's the irritating fact that i paid LESS for a subscription to NETFLIX and got a whole load of top quality commedians, professionally edited shows and orginal comedy sets that i could watch and pause at my leisure. I will not be renewing my subscription.”
