“ɴꜰᴛ ꜱᴄᴀᴍ ᴅʀᴀɪɴᴇᴅ ᴍʏ ᴘʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ ᴡᴀʟʟᴇᴛ… ꜰᴇᴇʟɪɴɢ ᴅᴇᴠᴀꜱᴛᴀᴛᴇᴅ ᴡᴀʟʟᴇᴛ/ᴇxᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇ I recently received an unwanted airdrop NFT on my Phantom wallet from a project I had previously interacted with. Against my better judgment, I clicked a $1 transaction button to receive the tokens. Unfortunately, it drained my wallet. I know I should have been more careful, but these scams are getting more sophisticated. I’m definitely not the first victim, and sadly, I won’t be the last. Technology really needs to be safer by default before it reaches end users. There should be a way to report and freeze scammers' addresses. Phantom wallet, for instance, should show a clear message before approving a full wallet withdrawal. A wallet shouldn’t be open to anyone sending spam NFTs or microtransactions to track me. A spam filter or option to approve incoming transactions would help a lot. Thankfully, a family member introduced me to Viperhacknation, and they were able to track down and recover my funds. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to them. They made a world of difference for me when I thought all was lost.
