“I don’t want to leave a bad review because my experience of the company has been good. My biggest disappointment is after spreading the seeds I’ve not seen a single thing. I prepared the area, turning it over and then cast the seed. So far, after about 6 weeks I’ve not seen anything that I could call a flower or a plant so as it stands I feel like I’ve achieved nothing. I had hoped to see something so far from them. I’ll continue to wait patiently and hope something appears. Starting to think I should have come up with a different plan for this area though.”
“Honestly I was very skeptical at first with the seeds, but I have been proved wrong and they are sprouting up already. Only sowed them 3 weeks ago. Really impressed. Thank you”
“Really good germination on the shady wildflower selection. Looking forward to this filling in a problem area that's difficult to get anything to grow”
“Arrived really quickly… love the paper pocket bags the seeds are in.. they feel completely natural and totally by a degradable… no waxy sheen on the paper… oh and lots of seeds inside … I don’t know if that’s a thing or not but when I bought seed packets from the supermarket they always seem a bit sparse
I want to scatter more seeds and will return to buy more Thanks guys”
“Im really interested in encouraging insects into my garden so was keen to try some seeds. My cornflowers have just started sprouting but theres no sign of the ogher seeds i sowed. They arrived really quickly so i shall definitely be ordèring some more.”
“I ordered the seed pack with "anywhere", "shady" & "pots" seeds. I'm really pleased because I can see the seeds growing & we only put them down just over 2 weeks ago. I much prefer wild flowers, so I'm looking forward to seeing what surprises we get.”
“Was all geared up to buy field poppy seeds which I'd selected but up came an "offer" so I added ox-eye daisy and cornflower as I love these too and had them in my old garden . However the packet in the daisy and cornflower seeds says annual= one season wonder , unlike the poppies. Very misleading bundle.
I've only just got around to sowing them as it's been very cold nights still here in Scotland and during the day to be honest and I can't get my hands to work very well in the cold due to arthritis. Now not sure I'll bother at all! Note to self -don't buy online!!”
Hi,
Thanks for your review, and I’m really sorry for the confusion here.
Just to clarify, both field poppies and cornflowers are annuals, and they are listed as such on the website. Ox eye daisies are perennials, so they should come back once established.
The bundle itself is simply a group of seeds that customers often like to buy together, rather than a perennial only collection, but I completely understand how that could have felt misleading once the packets arrived. We will take a look at how this is presented to make sure it is clearer.
Please do still sow them if you can, as poppies, cornflowers and ox eye daisies can look absolutely lovely together. The poppies and cornflowers should give you that classic first season colour, and the ox eye daisies should build into a longer term display.
I’m also sorry to hear it has been difficult with the cold nights and your arthritis. If you need any help with when or how to sow them in Scotland, just drop us a message and we’ll happily help.
Many thanks,
Max
“Excellent messaging- managed to add a packet of seeds I had forgotten to an order ,with the chat.
It took a long while for the order to arrive because of the demand. We were warned and it was early to plant anyway.
All the vegetables are growing nicely. Spring onions a bit weedy.
None of the flowers have appeared yet , which is surprising/ disappointing because of the hot weather. I have also been watering. They are in different parts of the garden and in pots.”
“I received one empty pack which was speedily replaced with an apology, the packets are lovely and my order arrived quickly. I can’t review the flowers which is why I’ve only given 3 stars, would like to review when I know if they’re as they should hopefully be. I have plenty of weeds coming up but I’m hoping there is something more interesting among them!”
“I love the iniative to plant more wildflowers! And create more beautiful and biodiverse spaces!
They were ver helpful when I WhatsApped with questions and my seeds have been growing well - as I don't have a garden have been growing them in pots for now!”
“Lots of information about the plants to help you decide what's right for you. Clear instructions for sowing and fairly quick delivery. I'm really happy that these are grown and harvested in the UK, it's what we need to be growing to try and redress the biodiversity balance!”
“There were so many seeds in one pack. I contacted the co.pany for some advice around growing in small spaces and they responded really quickly with a lengthy response. Really great company. Would 100% recommend”
